Love It!

I found this on Pinterest today and it completely describes how I feel these days. It's not just the house hunt, but life in general. This verse needs to be stamped on everything I own!

Ugh!

I live in an apartment. My rent includes bug control. Every month the bug man comes to spray, but I am always at work. Most days I am 5 minutes from home. I leave a note on the door telling Mr. Bug Killer that I can be there in literally 5 minutes. WAIT. Just flipping WAIT! What does he do? He leaves me a nice little note saying he was there and no one could let him in. The note goes on to give the next date he will be there and his name..........ANDY.

SOOOOOOOO thanks to ANDY I have several new friends. They like to hang out in my bathroom and kitchen. Basically anywhere that water is they are there. Apparently his name is Silverfish, but I called him something very different last night as I was spraying Windex in his face. Yep that's how I deal with bugs!

Isn't he great! Ugh!

So tomorrow is the day Mr. Bug Killer is suppose to come. I again have to work and I again will leave a note, BUT I have also called his office. I left a nice little message with RHONDA and told her to please please please have him call me. I am not going to be happy if I have to continue sharing my apartment with these guys!

Welcome Springtime!

It's SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just a little happy about it. Can you tell? HA! Spring is my favorite season. Not too hot not too cold.....and lots of yummy sweets! Normally i'm not a big sweets person, but who can turn these down?

It was a busy weekend! Graduations, Walking Dead marathon and season finale, AND puppy shopping!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to lie. A big plus of owning a home is finally getting a puppy!

And what breed am I in search of...................................?

Why a Pit Bull of course!

I am so in love with these babies! I know I know they are killers right?

I've been doing my research and I know that they are bred to fight, but I also know they get a bad rap.

So the plan is to get a puppy and teach it to be gentle and sweet.

Well I love it even more now that I have it and am using it.

As much as I love this new treasure it proves that I need to keep a measuring tape in my car. It also proves that I need to start measuring space before I shop. But really who could have passed up this deal?

On hold

Hey remember that house from the last post? Hold that vision in your head for a second. Okay ready? Now throw it away! Yep as far away as humanly possible. I feel like throwing some other objects. UGH!

Hear me loud and clear folks. I'm DONE! Not forever, but for now.

As of today the house hunt is on hold.

Here we go again.

Yesterday I spent the day with my amazing family. Mom cooked a big lunch and then we spent the rest of the day playing outside with Tate. He is such a mess these days. His favorite things are the trampoline and swinging.

Then my Dad and I drove around for a few hours looking at houses. He had found a few and I this is one of them. It's about 5 minutes from my Parents house, and 5 minutes from the main road. Not to mention closer to my Sister than I am now! Huge plus! I would rather be on the other end of town but nothing is on the market. Okay so there are houses on the market, but none that meet my needs. Back to this house. It has a new metal roof and some of the most beautiful windows in the back. It has a great view of the mountains!

Now before I go falling head over heels in love with yet another dead end I am being cautious. One reason being that it has a hole in the foundation on one side. I'm not sure what that is all about. Thank God for my Daddy!

So I text my realtor this morning and I'm waiting to hear the info about it.

Hello Lover

My newest love is re-purposed furniture. A couple of weeks ago I found a store a couple of towns over that specializes in just that. Well some other things too but mainly furniture. Missy has a talent for finding old pieces and making them new again. I bought this rocking chair a few weeks ago. She painted it red and then distressed it and then painted it black and distressed it. It doesn't work at the apartment but I am hoping I won't be there much longer.



AND

then yesterday I bought this......

Missy saved this dresser from the trash! It's painted black and then distressed. Again this piece doesn't work in the apartment, but it will in my new house.....someday.

Day off!

I LOVE days off!

I was off yesterday, and it didn't start as well as I would have liked. It was more of an off day than day off. I did end the day with sweet Tate which made it all better! Sweet boy hasn't been feeling too good the last few days.

I love this picture because of all the toys in the floor. If you could have seen my Sister's house before Tate you would understand. She had everything in its place and all neat. These days there isn't a whole lot of time for organizing. Ha!

Tate loves his chair!

I wanted to get him the "Anywhere Chair" from Pottery Barn Kids for Christmas, but there was no way I was paying $100 for it. So I found the replacement parts on Ebay and got the entire chair for $35. Than I just ordered the monogrammed chair cover from PBK. He loves to "read" in his chair!

BTW: Cassie is attempting to teach him sign language!

Yesterday was his first lesson and he wasn't too interested!

Ebay Addict

I've been addicted to Ebay for a couple of years now. It started as a simple way to find great deals and great prices and a great way to spend my sleepless nights. I'm not kidding. I was that person up at 2 a.m. scouring Ebay for anything and everything. Here I am years later still doing the same thing. Except I try to do it during normal people hours. HA!

I am currently stalking this particular item. Maxi dresses are not my thing. I'm not super short but long dresses make me look like I am. However I saw this dress and I love it! It retails for $69. Yea that isn't going to happen. Not on this planet or Mars for that matter. BUT right now I am the current highest bidder at $21. I can live with that. Too bad it has 2 days left on the auction. Plenty of time for someone to outbid me. :(

Summer please hurry!

I LOVE summer and all things that come along with it....except bees. I could do without the bees. What's the best part about summer? Pool time! What's the best bonus for this summer? Tate! I can't wait to take that sweet boy swimming! He loves a bath and water in general so I know he is going to be a water baby this summer. And just to make sure I bought him his first pool. Granted its not very big, it still looks like a lot of fun. Hurry up summer I know a little boy who needs to be swimming! And his aunt Tippy too!

(Oh and just to make this even more fun I got this on clearance for $12!

Yep being a deal hunter paid off again!)

Here's a blast from the past! I was 8 years old when this was taken. My parents took us to Ogle's Waterpark every summer for as long as I can remember. When it closed I was heartbroken. Cassie and I knew every inch of that place and how to avoid lines! But we did go every weekend Ha!

It's snowing in East Tennessee today so I thought I would reminisce about some warm sunny days!

Blessed and Thankful

Blessed and thankful are the best words I have in my vocabulary to describe how I feel this morning. Most of the south had some rough storms yesterday, and Tennessee wasn't spared. Thankfully where I live we were. I had to work yesterday and even though I knew storms were coming I wasn't really that worried. That was until the sirens started to sound. Until yesterday I didn't even know my town had sirens. Again thankfully we just had some rain, hail and wind. My Dad was out most of the night cleaning up trees.

In Chattanooga the damage was much worse. These pictures are from CNN's site. I feel terrible for these people and incredibly blessed at the same time. I feel blessed to have opened my front door to the exact same scene as yesterday morning. I'm thankful that my patio furniture didn't go through my car windshield. I'm thankful that trees didn't fall on my car. I'm thankful that my family and friends are safe, and I'm thankful that my Dad made it home safe and sound.

Blessed and Thankful..............for so very much!
