This little girl showed up on my doorstep this week, and she is the sweetest little thing. Very playful and full of energy. Drew isn't a fan of cats so he hasn't been thrilled that i've been feeding her. Especially since he was leaving for work yesterday morning and walked out to find a skunk on the front porch! Apparently all the food that I have been leaving outside for sweet girl has been feeding Mr. skunk. Oops!

So last night I put her picture on Facebook and hopefully I can find her a home soon!

Any of my blog friends live in Tennessee and want a new family member????????

Happy Easter weekend!

I decided to pull out an old picture for this post. This picture was taken about 23 years ago. That's my cousin Gabe. He was my bestest (and first ever) best friend. We did everything together.......including coloring eggs for Easter.

Still to this day I have no idea how he stood to be around me as much as he did. We had lots of fights and fusses, but some really great memories too! I may just call him up and see if he wants to re-make this memory this weekend!

Royally over it!

Yes, I know I am about to get some nasty comments, but I really am over hearing about the Royal Wedding. Honestly, I'm thrilled for Prince William and Kate. Congrats on them FINALLY getting it together and making that trip down the aisle. However, I don't feel the need to hear about and see it constantly for the next 8 days. Nor have I enjoyed it for the past month. I get it! It's a BIG deal! Again congrats!

I just think we could spend a little less time pouring over Kate's outfit ensembles and focus on oh I don't know gas prices, the continued fighting in Libya, Donald Trump wanting to be President (big post on that later), Social Security or Medicaid...........just saying.

Just a side note: We had a patient call to schedule her root canal yesterday. She said her face is swollen and she cannot eat or drink, but can only be seen on a Friday. When she was told the first available Friday appt is on the 29th her response was........Ummm I can't I'm going to be watching the Royal Wedding........yea true story!

I do think they look lovely together and will have beautiful children.

Her ring is unique, not my style, but unique none the less.

This is probably my favorite picture (that I have been forced to see) (thanks people.com and E News) yet. They do look genuinely happy.

I will not be getting up at 4 a.m. to watch the Royal Wedding. E News will watch, pick out the highlights for me, and I think i'll manage to live without having seen the live broadcast.

Tinkle Tents

So....i'm not gonna lie....when Cassie found out she was having a boy I was very depressed. I saw all those tea parties, tutus, ruffles and pink go flying out the window. The thought of buying for a boy instead of a girl seemed less thrilling. Well that was until I actually started to look in the boy sections of stores. I always make diaper cakes for boy baby showers as my gift. Sometimes I throw in an outfit or toy, but not often. Boy clothes just aren't as cute. I like polka dots and the vintage owls. Neither of which are okay (in my brother-in-law's opinion) for a boy.

However, over the last few months I have been bound and determined to find the cutest, most stylish boy clothes on the market. At some point in this search I found "tinkle tents".

Apparently little boys feel the need to pee each and everytime their diapers are opened.

Some people just don't need Facebook

Yea, I said it....and i'm prepared to back it up with facts!

1. If you don't want everyone in your business stop putting it on FB.

2. Don't get mad when someone gossips about your FB posts or pictures.

Again remember you were the one to put it out there in the first place.

3. Take ownership of whatever you post. Don't blame your 4 year old for a post bashing your best friend when clearly you just had too much to drink and decided to drunk post on FB.

4. If I don't accept your friend request on the first, second or third attempt please stop. Obviously I don't want to be your friend. In real life or otherwise.

5. Continue to send me those stupid game requests and I will delete you.

Simple enough?

6. Making inappropriate comments on my pictures will also get you deleted.

7. Posting your every move and thought throughout the ENTIRE day will too result in your deletion. This is NOT twitter people! If you feel the need to tell us every move you make you may need to re-analyze your life. Just saying!

8. Answering odd questions about me and posting them to my wall=not cool!

First I didn't know about the bubble tents and now I just find out that Fast and the Furious has a 5th movie coming out this month! WHAT???????

Yes, I know its crazy to get excited about a movie, but thats me.

What's cooking?

This is a terrible quality phone picture, but I just had to show y'all my 1st ever attempt at chicken casserole. All the girls at work minus Savannah cook daily. They all have signature recipes and special ingredients. When I cook its pretty standard and usually nothing to blog about, but I tried Nikki's recipe tonight and it was heavenly! Yes those are instant mashed potatoes and the steam veggies, but it's just me so no need to go all out! Ha!

Tomorrow its back to the boring bland basics!

Willow

Cassie ordered Tate's nursery furniture and bedding this weekend! If I wasn't excited about him before I def am now! She picked the "Willow" collection because of the deer. My Brother-in-law is an avid hunter/fisherman so I was sure it would be something of this "nature" when she finally decided.

Josh painted the nursery this weekend too, so now all they need is Tate!

Cassie is still very sick. She still has her PICC line and home health and doing weekly Dr. appointments. Hopefully, she will start to feel better soon because if not then no baby shower. She can't leave her house, and its too tiny to have everyone there, so we may have to do it after Tate gets here. Either way he is already one very loved little boy. His nursery is overflowing!

I can't wait to meet this sweet boy!

Weekend Wrap up....zero pictures :(

How is the weekend already over? Is it just me or does it seem like Saturday and Sunday fly by? I literally was so busy I just now finished watching Grey's from Thursday. Being the die hard Grey's fan that I am you would think I would have loved the "Glee" knock off episode. Unfortunately, I just didn't think it was that great. Pretty sure these actors (minus Callie) should stick to acting and forget about singing. Just saying.

Spring hit me hard Saturday and I flew into full on Suzie Homemaker mode. Spring cleaning doesn't even begin to describe my cleaning escapade. That saying "you could eat off my floors" became a reality. Can I just say that I am in love with my new Shark steam mop!!!!!!

And today my car got a much needed bath.....just in time for thunderstorms to roll in tomorrow. YAY!!!!!!

I've participated in Thankful Thursday before, and even though its Sunday I want to do it again.

Today I am thankful for:

Still alive!

I'm still alive! First I just want to say thanks to everyone for your sweet comments. Didn't mean to scare you! I am still here and still alive. Just took a weekend break from blogging. Second i'm going to apologize for the lack of pictures. I honestly didn't pick my camera up all weekend! My weekend started last Thursday. It was spring break for Dr. Beeler's daughter and they went on a mini vaca, which meant the office was closed!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday was clean clean clean and more cleaning day! I actually got lots accomplished. For some reason I am in love with wall stickers. So I spent part of the day measuring my walls for them. I already have a tree in my bedroom with a bird cage and birds, but I want something for my living room.

Friday was laundry day........not a fun way to spend my day off.

Saturday was Jamie's birthday party. He had a laser tag party and let me just say it had been a long while since I had played......and it showed. I was 18th the first game and 17th the last. Ummmmm someone needs some practice!

Sunday was family funday! I love Sundays and I love spending them with my family.

Other than all that jazz my weekend was low key. I spent way too much time in front of the TV folding clothes and eating, but hey it was a mini vaca for me too!

This is what happens when a friend takes you to the Dr. and waits until AFTER they give you the "Happy Pill" to start snapping pictures. Gee how will I ever return the favor????????? Oh i'll think of something!

I know this is terrible, but I just kept wondering how many people had died in that gown.

Yes, I know that's crazy, and I am sure they throw the gowns away when people die in them......BUT we are in a recession people! Ya never know what corners are being cut! Just saying! Ha!

I am especially thrilled about the close proximity that these pictures were taken! Again how will I ever repay you?

Keep in mind these are pre-procedure pictures. You really don't want to see the post-op views, and I don't want to remember it either.

Can I just say that I have no idea what I was smiling about in these pictures. Apparently the happy pill worked, because I don't even remember this photo shoot. Oh and my first words after I woke up......Can I have a #1 from Firehouse?

Doctors, meds and Steel Magnolias

It's been a Steel Magnolias kinda night.

I spent the greater part of the day in the Doctor's office. By now I should be quite comfy there, but alas I am just the opposite. Today really wasn't all that bad....until he said I need surgery. YAY!!!!!!!! Yes, I am being sarcastic. Surgery was one word I could have done without hearing today.

So after a 4 HOUR appt, a quick (NOT) trip to the pharmacy and a stop at Firehouse Subs (Heaven on Earth) I came home to curl up on the couch with these girls. Who better to spend the night with?

More on surgery later. I'm too tired to explain tonight.

Just wanted to take a second to say that I am still here. Unfortunately I only have a second because things are absolutely crazy right now. I only have this second because I am once again in a Doctor's office waiting room.......waiting. Oh and thanks for all the "Where are you?" comments! Glad to know I have been missed!

With everything that's been going on the last few weeks I had totally forgotten which ones I ordered. Pretty sure my face was all kinds of happy when I opened them.

Hard to believe something so small as a pair of glittery shoes can be such a huge mood lifter!

Can't wait for the rain to stop so I can wear them!

The last two weeks have been packed with stress!

Not just stress at work, but i've had to make quite a few "big girl" decisions. All in all I think i've handled things pretty well, and made the best decisions.....at this time. One of the best stress relievers for me is shooting. What better way to de-stress than a little target practice?

It was such a pretty day, and even though I had a million things to accomplish this weekend, i'm so glad I took a few hours out for this. It was nice to be out in the fresh WARM air and outside of cell phone service. I'm paying for it a little today though. My arm and chest are not feeling great!

HA!!!!!!!!!
