Helper

In addition to becoming a home owner I have also gained a household member! This video shows just what a huge helper she has been with the whole moving process. Basically I turned my back for a whole minute and this is what happened. She didn't know I could see her.

Please keep this family in your prayers! They are in Africa adopting 4 kiddos. The parents have been detained by foreign officials and their 6 children (2 US- 4 and 7yo) have been moved to an orphanage. Please, please intercede for this family. Pray God moves to resolve this and pray peace over those children!!

Ugh!

In the past I have been referred to as the "Grammar Nazi" by more than one person. It's probably because I have such a huge issue with speaking in proper context. I cringe seeing some Facebook convos. It's amazing to me that people either don't know the difference between to, too and two or they just don't take the time to care. That brings to mind the saying "I'm too tired to care, but I care too much to be tired." So when I saw this pin on Pinterest I knew it was made just for me! Call me what you will......its a pet peeve!

Thankful Thursday!

One of the main things that sold me on this house was the storage! It has a large storage building in the back, and all the closets have awesome storage shelving. It's a good thing too! Over the last four days I have packed more junk than I knew I had. My teeny tiny apartment looks like a storage building and is literally bursting at the seams! Today is Thursday and so today's thankful Thursday is about the house. 

I'm incredibly thankful to have been able to buy my first home at 25! In this economy and this market its not an easy task. I expected many many many delays and issues, but thankfully God had a plan. I'm thankful that the biggest issues were locating two student loan forms! I'm thankful for my parents having taught me how to manage money and how important a great credit score is. 

HOPEFULLY, move in day is this weekend! 

I spoke to the sellers earlier in the week and they said that for sure it would be this weekend, but didn't give me a specific day. Of course I am hoping for Friday rather than Sunday. BUT until then I have to continue to pack. Yes somehow someway I still have things that need to be packed. Seriously where did it all come from???????

Early rather than Late

Wordless Wednesday is coming a few days early this week. Partly because this week has potential to be crazy busy, and partly because I saw this on Pinterest and it reminds me of someone. Happy Monday all! Hopefully this week is move in week at the new house. Not sure yet, but its a possibility. So be watching for before pictures!!!!!

It's Thursday and I am thankful for this sweet picture I saw first thing this morning. Nothing like opening up blogger to see this sweet face. Lucy continues to fight and show improvement. Please keep Lucy and her family in your prayers. I know God has a plan for Lucy far better than any of us can imagine!

Wordless Wednesday

Sweet boy!

I LOVE this sweet boy!!! 

Even when he is messing up my hair, or pulling it out by the roots or hitting me on the head repeatedly! 

He's only little once right?

New look!

I realize that most people lighten their hair in the summer, but I really was ready for a change! 

My hair has looked the same (color wise) since 2010. That's really too long for one color combo. 

So the solution? 

DARK and SHORT!!!!!!

It's shorter than I wanted, but its hair and it will grow.

Sweet Lucy

If you have followed my blog for any length of time then you have seen this sweet girl and heard about her battle. Sweet Lucy is a fellow Tennessean and a sweet sweet girl. I am saddened to say that Lucy's cancer battle has gotten harder. Lucy's cancer has returned and the Doctors have done all that they can do. I cannot imagine what Kate and Erik are going through. They have already been through so much. I'm asking anyone who reads this blog to please say a special prayer for this family. They are near and dear to my heart.

Happy Birthday to me!

Monday was my Birthday. I am officially no longer 25, and it makes me sad. I have no idea why, but it does. 25 was a good year. I started a new job that I absolutely love and bought my first house! I'm sure 26 will be even better. 

Mama, Cassie, Tate and Lily surprised me at work with balloons and lots of kisses! Tate was more interested in going through everything in my desk than taking a picture. My facebook was blown up with Birthday wishes! It's nice to know so many of them took the time. 

Since the interstate is still a mess we are waiting until Dad can be home for my party. Maybe we will wait a few weeks and make it a birthday/move in party! 

Ha! 

Happy Birthday Jackson!

Cassie's best friend Kayla has the sweetest 3 year old little boy Jackson. He is a firecracker! Today was his birthday party and Cassie and Tate went. Tate hasn't been feeling well this week and has been to the Dr. two days in a row. I'm pretty sure the second picture was at the end of the festivities and he was wearing down. The first picture however is totally Tate! He is all boy!!!!!

It's exactly 9:13 on this lovely Friday night, and I am home on my comfy couch watching Kathleen and Joe. I absolutely adore this movie. When it first aired I was already a fan of Sleepless in Seattle, so I was pretty sure this one would capture my heart as well. It did! I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy! I don't live in some dream world where I believe relationships should work like they do on TV. Still I can't help but watch each and every time its on!  Ha!

Thankful Thursday on Saturday

I also missed Thankful Thursday this week. This has been a crazy week. The closing didn't go as smoothly as it could have, but in the end was worked out. My closing wouldn't have happened without my realtor!

So this week I am thankful for her and all her hard work! She went above and beyond and I am thankful!
