Instead of One

I love my life. It's crazy and busy. It's hectic and complicated, but I love it still. 

Things with the house are moving right along. My appraisal is scheduled for tomorrow and then the home inspection is next Tuesday. My closing date is set for the 25th, but it could always change. 

The packing has begun! I'm one of those OCD people when it comes to organizing. My apartment is the size of a matchbox. It's teeny tiny and so I have to make every inch count. The new house is small too, BUT I will have three bedrooms instead of one......two bathrooms instead of one.......AND five closets instead of one. Are you seeing a pattern yet? My current closet has clothes, shoes, bags, patio furniture........yes you read that right. I found a great deal last summer at Target so I bought it. And now its tucked away awaiting its assembly. I'm looking forward to having more storage space so that not everything has to fit like a puzzle just to close the door. It will be so nice to have a coat closet! Ha! It's funny the things that matter the most as you get older. I never would have cared about a coat closet 5 years ago. I was still at home and had more than enough space. Ahhhh how things change! Ha! 

As if I don't have enough going on I am going to start trying much harder to do Wordless Wednesdays and Thankful Thursdays! So I promise the blog will be getting more of my attention from now on.............I'll try to fit it in somewhere! 

Pack and Ship

Can you say addicted? 

Yes yes yes I am! This isn't even all of it folks! Ebay is my new best friend! Yesterday (Sunday) was errand day. It's the only day off I have so I try to get as much as I possibly can done. I basically spent the entire day yesterday packaging and addressing ebay stuff. So to date I have made $380. Not bad for clothes I no longer wear or want. Thank God I don't have to have yard sale or pack all this stuff when its time to move. So I am saying win win win here! 

P.S. The Post Office employees are not my biggest fans these days! Ha! 

Relay for Life 2012

How beautiful is my Sister? AND How cute is my nephew?

Cassie and I took Tatum to Relay for Life last night. Normally I am on the committee and help with the event. This year that wasn't an option. I had way too much going on and way too many things that required my attention. I hate that I couldn't help, but I was still able to go. 

Tate had a blast and he even took his first steps! We were all thrilled and he was not too sure why. Ha! Tate is a people watcher. He loved watching the cheerleaders and dancers perform. We started out with him in his stroller, but that only lasted a couple of laps. He wanted to be out and eye level with everyone. Oh those shades! He loves his sunglasses! 

We stayed longer than I thought. Tate had a late nap so he was ready to stay all night! He loved the attention from everyone. It was a really fun night and our town ended up raising over 70K for cancer research!!!!!

Ebaying it up!

Ebay has become my new best friend. I have loved Ebay for years! Me being the bargain hunter that I am and ebay being the wealth of all things deals makes me happy! I've got the buyer part down (believe me!) but now i'm trying my hand at selling. It was a rocky start at first, but I think I have finally figured it out. I just got my monthly printout for April and I made $225. Not bad for the first month. 

The best part is I don't have to have a yard sale! I HATE having yard sales. I hate paying $$$$ for something and someone asking me if I will sell it for a quarter. Ummmm no. Plus I am not a fan of hauling everything out and then having to deal with whatever doesn't sell. Ebay is a much better solution. With a move coming up in the next few weeks I am trying to rid myself of anything I don't need. So i'm off to list! 

Chevron!

My newest obsession is Chevron! In particular yellow and white chevron! I don't even like yellow that much. For some reason seeing it in chevron just changes it. The guest bathroom in the new house is orange. Yes Tennessee orange. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Tennessee and I show my support often............in clothes. Not too sure I want my walls orange. So i'm thinking white instead. Boring? Yea I know. Safe? Yea probably. BUT I plan on adding in a chevron print shower curtain, some solid rugs and really chic accessories. 

Hopefully, it won't turn out too boring!

Thankful Thursday!

Today I am thankful I can write my name. 

BECAUSE......................

I met with my mortgage rep this morning to sign about a billion papers. I'm exaggerating but only just a little. It really was quite a few documents. So one more step in the right direction. Now I just need to schedule the home inspection, appraisal and termite inspection. Sound like fun? Hey if it gets me one step closer to my house i'm all for it!
