Backup!

My laptop recently bit the dust. It had so many "infections" that I was sure it was beyond repair. I was also sure that all my pictures were gone forever. But my Mother being the super Mom that she is had it fixed for me. It was the best Valentines Day gift! So since I am more than positive that the Internet will NEVER crash (right?????) I am adding pictures to the blog. If you have been a blog stalker for a while you have probably seen these. I just want to make sure that they are saved forever. So if these old picture posts surface over the next few months and you have already seen them.......sorry!

The first pictures are from an all girls four wheeling trip from a few years ago.
People are always surprised when I tell them I like four wheeling. I guess I just look girly?
Actually I like the mud part too.
(Please keep in mind no guys were involved in the trip other than unloading and loading the four wheelers. Us girls were the only ones on the ride and yes we made it back without help.....even when we got stuck.)
This was the VERY first mud "puddle" of the ride and of course we got stuck.
Group effort!
It really doesn't look at bad in these pictures, but she really was stuck.

Cheer pose! Ha!
These pictures are from my Sister's wedding.

I LOVE my Daddy!
LILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bless her heart! She had a breakdown after the wedding. She thought Cassie was never coming back!
After a quick talk with Tippy she was fine and ready for cake!

I love this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wild and crazy weekend.........

It wasn't exactly wild and crazy, but it was busy. All my weekends are busy it just so happen that this weekend I was off Saturday. I started my wild weekend by cleaning Friday night. My apartment is literally the size of a matchbox........no lie! Its small and simple and I love it........but I am outgrowing it rapidly. Thus the house hunt! Anyway I'm still not sure how I have acquired as much stuff as I have but its EVERYWHERE!

Saturday was errand day which meant craft supply day which meant Hobby Lobby! Y'all know how much I love Hobby Lobby! I'm pretty sure the employees know my name or at least my face. They no longer ask to see my ID when I use my debit card. That counts for something right? Unfortunately it was the quickest Hobby Lobby trip I've ever had. My cousin Benjamin is in the hospital so I wanted to get there before visiting hours were over.

Before I knew it Sunday was here and my weekend was almost over. What better way to end the weekend than with these two activities..........................

Shooting

and

Walking Dead!

Superglue.....Mold and Meth......OH MY!

House Hunting.........My Experience so far.
(Keep in mind with the exception of #4 these have been over the phone conversations)

Top 5 things you NEVER want to hear your Realtor say when asking about a house(s):

1. Someone put superglue in the locks, but I will get you in to look as soon as possible.
2. There was a meth bust two houses down.......... yesterday.

3. It has mold actively growing in the vent system..........for at least 6 months.

4. Oh that sign on the neighbors lawn..........he's a registered sex offender.

5. I care too much about you to let you live there.
(YES SHE SAID THAT)

I'm thankful for my Realtor, and i'm not sure which one of us has laughed more about these houses.

So the hunt continues......................

Ribbon everywhere!

Thanks to Pinterest, Hobby Lobby and Ebay I have become a tad bit obsessed with ribbon. Not just ribbon, but all craft projects that involve ribbon. Obviously buying a house is top of the money priority list these days, BUT ebay has had such great deals on ribbon I just couldn't pass them up. My biggest downfall with Ebay is the shipping time. When something says it has free shipping it usually takes weeks. So far I have been waiting two weeks.

So with all this ribbon (hopefully) on its way I need a way to organize it. Not only organize it, but be able to see what I have. So...............................

Option #1

Option #2

Option #3

Thoughts?

50 down.......500 to go.

It has begun!!!!!

Let the saving begin! $250

1. Puzzles must not be too popular these days. Wal-Mart had a total of 3 for me to choose from.

2. It's actually 550 pieces. So that's an extra $250!

3. Thanks to modern age technology and online banking I transferred $250 into my savings account tonight. Which means 50 puzzles pieces will have today's date written on them!!!!!!

Because I am tired I'm just going to pick 50 pieces and write today's date on them. I'll assemble them tomorrow.

$250 and counting!!!!!

Puzzle Project

A couple of weeks ago Kelly @ Kelly's Korner did a Show us your life about adoption and adoption fundraisers. Adoption is great, but the cost can be unbelievable. I love adoption stories!!!!! So of course I read most of the blogs that linked up that day. One that really caught my attention was a sweet couple and their puzzle fundraiser. This couple bought a 2000 piece puzzle and for each $5 someone donated they would write their name on the back of a piece/pieces. Now this puzzle is framed and hanging in their sweet baby Kate's nursery. The puzzle is framed with the back of the puzzle showing so Kate can see someday just how many people loved her. I love this idea so I am using it in my own life.

I think in order for it to really work, and for me to stick with it I need to decide on what exactly I am saving toward. Right now I am house hunting........which is exhausting! With the loan I have I don't need a down payment.......BUT I still want to have one. What better goal than a down payment right?

Okay so starting today I am going to start working on this puzzle. I'm going to follow the same system as the couple.......except i'm starting with a 500 piece. $5 X 500= $2500. In the past puzzles were my Mother's key to keeping her sanity during snow days. Ha! My sister has always been able to sit for hours and work puzzles. Me on the other hand......I just don't have the patience. At least not the amount needed to sit and work 500, 1000 or 2000 piece puzzles in one sitting. I just don't and I probably never will. That being said I think this will work out better. Each paycheck I am planning to save as much as possible for the puzzle project. It's going to take a while to finish but that way I won't lose interest in it.

I'll post pictures along the way!

(Unfortunately this isn't the actual puzzle.
Too bad y'all know how much I love doughnuts!)
