"red day" pictures

Here are some pictures from Monday. I promise to post more just not tonight. Tonight I am too tired to look at this screen for another minute. Maybe one day I will have high speed at home!!!!!!! In the mean time here are some to enjoy..............

This look is priceless! You can see my reflection in his sunglasses. Can't you tell he just loves to have his picture taken? I love the "porta potty" in the background!

I really like this pic. Tim was propped up waiting for his dad to come out. He sorta looks like a little boy waiting on his daddy to come home from work.

I was propped up on Tim's four wheeler. It was kinda relaxing just to lay in the sun and nap. Tim kept asking me how I was laying in the hot sun with all those clothes on, but I just soaked it up! Did I mention I love heat? You can see Megan's PINK helmet in this pic, I love it!
You can barely see him, but thats Tim's dad in his buggy. I realize that not everyone knows about coal mining so here is a quick lesson........ That thing that Marvin is on is a modified golf cart, but its called a buggy in the coal mining world. They ride on it inside the mine from break to break. The buggy is pretty cool, the mine is not! If you have a problem with mice then stay out of the mines! The mice are more like rats and they are huge!!!!!!!!!
That mound is coal. It was about half that size when we first got there, and by the time we left it had gotten so high they had to move it. It has to be taken to the washer and then put on trains.

Megan wasn't really sure if she wanted to use the "porta potty" or not. I can't really say that I blame her.
I really don't know what this look is for.

Last one.......

Tonight is the last Presidental debate before the election. I would guess that half the people on the planet will be watching. For McCain's sake I hope the beating comes swift and quick. lol (That was for you Kristy) Anyway I found this picture online and it reminded me of Tim's puppy Flash. I think I will dress Flash up for Halloween as Obama! I wonder if he would wear the mask? lol Okay Tim will not be letting me do that, but its a thought.

Red days on the calendar

I love love love red days on the calendar! For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about a red day is a holiday. Like yesterday which was Columbus day. Normally when Tim and I both have a day off we go four wheeling and yesterday was no different. Me, Tim and Megan rode over to the mine that their dad is working at. We left around 11 a.m. (an hour later than tim wanted to leave) and got to the mine about 12:45. We wanted to surprise Tim's dad so we didn't tell him we were coming. Well we probably should have, because he could have told us he would be underground from 12:30 til about 2:30. So we just missed him. When we pulled up some of the men said he would be right back. Yeah right at 20 after 2 we loaded up to head home and right before we pulled out here he came! It was pretty funny. The look on his face was priceless. We didn't get to go in the mine this time, but he said we can next time. After we left the mine we went up to Bullock cemetary to shoot Tim's pistol. Tim shot first and he was good, then it was my turn, I didn't hit anything but air! Megan shot next and she hit on the first time! She was a regular Annie Oakley. Now that Tim has his gun permit he has been looking for a new pistol, and I can see why. When Tim was shooting the sight came off! He popped it back on, but I think that is def a sign that he needs a new pistol. All in all it was a great "red" day! I can't wait for the next one! lol

Foothills Fall Festival

I was all bundled up waiting on Josh Turner to come on stage. Tim kept laughing at me because he had a short sleeve shirt on, and I had on a sweatshirt and blanket. Cassie was cold too!

Shew what a day we had yesterday. This weekend was the foothills fall festival in Maryville. We have been the last two years and saw some great artists both years. The festival is 3 days of concerts, arts and crafts and kiddie land. The whole thing only costs $35 per ticket. Friday night the concerts start at 6 p.m. but they are only local artists. Saturday is the only day we get to go since we have church on Sunday. Cassie and I got up early and went on up to get good seats. The seating is first come first serve and you have to bring your own chairs. We lucked up and got to park right at the park entrance. When we were parking I saw that they hadn't opened the gates yet and was really excited thinking we would get GREAT seats! Well we got in line and waited a few minutes, finally we got down to the tent to get our wristbands and the lady said "oh I am sorry you have to get your wristband at the other tent." Ok I got a little mad, I mean c'mon we got in line where they told us to and we waited just like everyone else, but we turned around and went back. I was thinking here we got up early, drove like maniacs to get here, stood in line and now we are gonna get horrible seats! Well much to my surprise we got GREAT seats! We set up right under a tree and had some good shade. Cassie and I set up the chairs and rode the shuttle over to the mall. We ate lunch and shopped til the boys got there, and then we all rode back to the park for the concerts. Something we hadn't noticed before was this rock in front of my and Tim's chairs. He used it as a footrest the whole night. I even got a picture of him all propped up talking to jordy. It was pretty funny. Toward the end of the night it started to get a little chilly, but other than that we had a really great day. Cassie and I got to spend some quality sister time! Billy Ray Cyrus was okay, Jason Aldean was good, but Josh Turner was the BEST! I warned Tim that I may be falling for a new guy. lol More pics are coming I promise. I can't wait til next year!!!!!!!

Save the dates

May 1st and 2nd 2009. These are the dates of the 2009 Relay for Life. Today was our first comittee meeting. We went over all the details from last year and how we are going to make it even better this year. Last year we had 17 teams so our goal for this year is 25. I know that is a reachable goal and I plan on making it my personal goal. Our monetary goal for 2009 is $70,000. I know that sounds like a lot, but we raised $59,000 last year! We can do it, but we need lots of help. We need your help! If you are interested in becoming a comittee member, being a team captain, joining a team or making a monetary donation let me know. Our actual kickoff is going to be held at Ayers Realty on November 13th (Thursday) at 8:30 a.m. I hope to see a big turnout for the event. All team captain meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. I will post the location of the first meeting when it is decided. If you have any questions or suggestions let me know!

Wedding

I found this on the photographers blog. That one of daddy and cassie at the top cracks me up. She was asking for more money and he had his pockets turned out. Cass and Josh both look like models in the black and white ones. I love the one of mom and susie with their shoes off. The bathtub pics are def my favorite of the whole wedding though. If you want to see all of the pictures go to www.vfdigitalphotography.com click on online proofing and find cassie and josh. Your email address is the password.
