Day 8........had a date

Happy 4th everyone!!! I hope yours was as great as mine. Sounds odd for me to say great these days huh? Well I actually did have a great day. Believe it or not I went on a date today!!! Now don't go crazy gals I didn't go out with the first guy who asked. I am not jumping right back into a serious relationship just yet. Barry is a really great friend who lives in Alabama. He came in this weekend to visit his family for the 4th.
We started with lunch at the dock, and then headed to Kristy's so Barry could meet miss Preslee. Barry fell head over heels in love with the sweet angel! Then again who wouldn't? Cassie and Josh were suppose to go to Twin Cove with us tonight for the fireworks, but by the time we got to their house Josh had decided to go fishing. He is fishing a tournament next weekend so he wanted to go pre-fish tonight. Now I am no expert in fishing, but does he really expect the same fish to be in the same place this time next week? Whatever!!!! We left without them and headed to the dock. Half way out there we changed our minds. We ended up coming back out to town and watching those fireworks. All in all I had a great day. Barry is such a fun guy. I am so glad that we went out.
Watching the fireworks really made me miss Tim. Over the past 4 yrs we haven't missed a 4th four wheeling trip complete with fireworks. As much as I miss him, I can't break down. I can't fall apart every time I think about him. We were together so long that most everything I do reminds me of him. Break downs are going to happen, but I can't have them daily. Honestly, my faith is what has gotten me through. Pair that with great family and friends and I will be just fine.
It's hard to believe that is has been over a week since we broke up. The days are getting easier and my mind is starting to calm down. The racing thoughts of Tim and becoming fewer and fewer. Yes, I miss him. Yes, I want us to be together. No, I am not praying for that. I am praying that if it be the Lord's will for us to be together then we will, and if not then I pray for the Lord to give me the strength I need to move on.
Thanks to all of you who have left me comments in the past week. I really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. I consider each of you a friend, and value your comments. Please continue to pray!!! Have a great weekend and 4th of July!!!
