Drive In

I have never been to a drive in, but I have heard my parents talk about them. Last summer I saw ads for one in Maryville. The whole idea of a drive in is really neat to me. I guess its because I have never been to one. Anyway while I was checking e-mails this morning I opened one from Wal-mart. It shows all of this week's specials and new items!

Look what I found! I am really thinking that Hannah and Lily would love this!!!! I am also thinking that the minute I buy this, it will rain everyday! Oh well! What a great spring/summer activity for the girls! They would probably choose the Disney version ($193) where I would get the plain and simple($169) one. How fun for them to have their very own drive in theater in our back yard!!! I think this is one of those times that I am living vicariously through them!!!!! Honestly I don't think they mind much.
The best part about these screens is that they are inflatable. Which means transporting them should be pretty easy. Hannah and Lily spend the biggest part of their summers at the campground in Cove Lake. Their grandfather has a camper and they love to go stay with him. (I am not sure why, camping just isn't for me) They could take this with them.
Just wanted to share!

I love it!! I, too, have always been intrigued by drive-ins, and just found out there is one in NY state not too far from where I live. Maybe I will buy this instead though and spend my summer watching movies in the backyard! Another reason to be glad I moved out of Brooklyn!

Thanks for your comments, loving your blog!

This is so cool! I've not seen it anywhere. Hosting these movies in the backyard would be a great get-together for the neighborhood kids!

We have a blow up bounce house, which is probably heavier than this, but it is a nightmare to drag out, and put back. We never got it to fit back into the bag it came in. But it is great fun, and I'm sure this would be too.
